General Interest Area to be Specifically Addressed by the SIG
All things of relational frame relevance – a smorgasbord of philosophical, theoretical and empirical exploration.
Mission/Objectives
The ACBS RFT SIG will provide a forum in which researchers and practitioners interested in RFT (i.e., nerds, geeks and other social misfits) can come together to share philosophical, theoretical and empirical ideas on Relational Frame Theory and promote the development of both basic and applied RFT research. Of particular importance, this SIG will provide RFT interested individuals a forum in which they can emit phrases such as ‘combinatorial entailment’ and ‘transformation of function’ and still be accepted and loved!

RFT Assessment Resource
Hi all,
I am an associate professor at a small liberal arts college and a practicing clinician that does a bit of research on the side. I have access to an excellent school district and am interested in an exploratory study examining the relationships between RFT ability and school success in terms of academic achievement, standardized test scores and extracurricular involvement. My longer term goal is to pilot some RFT training to improve performance, but for now, I thought it would be interesting to see what relationships pop up. The school tracks these factors pretty closely and I am hoping for a lead in finding a valid, practical measure of RFT ability. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,
Sounds like some cool research! Very cool that you have a good relationship with the school district. I myself do not know the answer to your question. However, I bet that people on the RFT listserv would be able to help you. You can find this listserv here: http://contextualpsychology.org/emailing_lists
